Our Story
We started Uplift because we kept meeting the same person: bright, motivated, three unfinished online courses deep, and still not employable. The lessons weren't the problem. Nobody was checking their work, answering their questions, or telling them what to do next.
So we built the opposite of a video library. Live classes you attend. Assignments a human grades. A cohort that notices when you go quiet.
We teach in Nepali, we price for Nepali salaries, and we take payment through eSewa and Khalti because that's what people actually use.
Everything we teach is a skill somebody in this country is paying for right now.
Why we started
Nepal exports its young people. Not because they lack ability, but because nobody here turned that ability into a skill somebody pays for.
Meanwhile every business in Nuwakot is looking for someone who can run their ads, cut their videos or build their website — and cannot find them.
Both of those problems have the same fix. That fix is what we teach.
Learn a skill. Earn from it. That's the whole plan.
How we teach

Learn the tool in a recorded lesson you can pause and rewatch.

Use it on a real brief, the kind a client would actually send.

Submit it and get written feedback from the instructor — not a tick.

Bring what you're stuck on to the weekly live class.

Repeat until the work in your portfolio is good enough to charge for.
Our journey
2022
The first batch
Eleven students, one rented room in Nuwakot, and a digital marketing course we rewrote twice while teaching it.
2023
Live classes and mentors
We added weekly live sessions and started grading every assignment by hand. Completion rates doubled.
2024
Four tracks
Design, video editing and web development joined marketing. Our first students started hiring our newer students.
2025
Corporate training
Companies began asking us to train their own teams on their own campaigns.
2026
The online academy
Everything we teach in the room is now open to anyone in Nepal with a phone.
